A West Plains woman is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of her husband. Brandy Gale Wilson is also charged with seven other felony counts in the death of John Wilson, Sr. When interviewed by police, Brandy Wilson stated that she had been abused by her husband and believed that he had hired snipers to kill her. She also told police that she had gotten into a scuffle with her husband, grabbed a pistol from a nightstand and shot him. When her husband ran across the street to a neighbor’s house and started knocking on the door, Brandy Wilson told police that she shot him in the chest and abdomen until he fell down.
Assistant Howell County Prosecuting Attorney Rizwan Ahad has filed charges against Brandy Wilson for first degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of first-degree domestic assault.
