West Plains, Mo. – A West Plains woman is recovering after she was involved in a two-vehicle crash near Thayer on Wednesday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred on Highway 63, one mile north of Thayer at 9:30 a.m.
A 2017 Chevy Malibu driven by Stephanie Parsons, age 28 of Myrtle, was attempting to make a left turn when a 2006 Honda Pilot driven by Cheryl Mayo, age 58 of West Plains, that had been following the Chevy swerved and struck it. Both vehicles were damaged in the crash and both drivers had been wearing their seat belts.
Mayo suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was taken by Oregon County Ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment. Parsons was not reported as being injured.
