A 77-year-old West Plains woman was seriously injured after being hit head-on in a crash on State Highway 17, five miles south of West Plains. The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells Ozark Radio News that the woman was hit by a 38-year-old male driver from Willow Springs who was attempting to pass another vehicle. The male driver was not injured, but a 42-year-old female passenger in his vehicle received minor injuries.
Debris from the crash struck a third vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was not injured.
