A West Plains woman suffered minor injuries Sunday night after her SUV struck a deer on US 160, about eight miles east of Gainesville.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 24‑year‑old was westbound in a 2017 Jeep Cherokee when the deer entered the roadway. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.

She was taken by private vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains.
