Mansfield, MO. – An event to celebrate author Laura Ingalls Wilder and the history of the area starts today in Mansfield, MO. Wilder was the author of the famous “Little House on the Prairie” series of books, which eventually spawned the successful TV series that started in 1974.
This year, attendees should expect live music, one of the stars of the show: Charlotte Stewart, who played “Miss Beadle”, and much more.
Starting today from 10am to 9pm, there will be free admission into the Mansfield Area Historical Museum. Crafts and food vendors open at noon to 6, and a street dance will take place 7 to 9.
On Saturday, there will be a fiddle-off contest, the actor Charlotte Stewart will begin autograph signing from 10 to noon, and 2pm to 4pm, and a petting zoo for the kids, as well as too many other events to list.
