Grovespring, MO. – A fire in Grovesrping brought swift response and managed to burn 64 acres due to increased fire danger conditions.
Members of the Grovespring Fire Protection Association moved to stop the fire at around 1:30pm on Monday, September 14th on TT Highway. They were present for 5 hours as they worked to keep it under control. Due to dry conditions and the fire managing to reach am overgrown thicket of cedar, the fire proved a challenge, also managing to jump the highway into a neighboring field.
Brandon Miller of the Grovespring Fire Department said that the MDC were called to assist with a couple of dozers, and the fire was contained afterward at around 6:30pm.
