West Plains, MO. – Further details about the head-on collision that occurred with a Howell County Sheriff’s Deputy on Friday morning have been released, with both drivers being injured. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash happened at 9:39 a.m. on Highway 137 in Willow Springs.
A 2000 Ford F350 driven by Justin Stanley, age 27 of Willow Springs, failed to yield and turned north into the path of the southbound 2018 Ford Explorer driven by Deputy Devon Mendenhall. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash. Thankfully, both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and suffered minor injuries in the crash. The men were taken by separate Howell County ambulances to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.
