A Willow Springs man was moderately injured Friday evening in a single‑vehicle motorcycle crash east of town, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash happened at 5:35 p.m. on County Road 3380, about four miles east of Willow Springs. Investigators report that a westbound 1999 Harley‑Davidson traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox. The motorcycle sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by a private party.
The rider, a 44‑year‑old man from Willow Springs, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. He has been charged with Careless and Imprudent Driving, Driving While Intoxicated and No Insurance.
