Winona, MO. – An elderly Winona man was killed in a house fire Thursday afternoon.
Authorities stated that three children were able to escape from the home but, Randy Best, age 66 of Winona, perished in the fire that ravaged the home at 4 p.m. on February 16, 2023.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and an investigation is currently underway. The house was a total loss.
The fire was fought by crews from Birch Tree, Eminence, and Winona with assistance from the Winona Police Department and Shannon County Sheriff.
