Baxter County, AR. – 33-year-old Jaime Falconburg was recently arrested after she stole a vehicle and sold the catalytic converter. She is now facing a charge of theft of scrap metal and was released from the Baxter County Detention Center with a $2,500 bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on June 5, 2024, a male filed a complaint with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office saying that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence. He reported that it was a 2001 Chevrolet pickup and also stated that he had a 20-gauge pump Remington rifle inside the pickup. The exact date of the theft is unknown due to that man being in and out of jail.
During an investigation, officers found that on March 15, 2024, Jamie Falconburg sold a catalytic converter to Scrap Daddies Metals in Mountain Home. The damage to the pickup while removing the converter is estimated at over $250.00. This does not include the cost of replacing the catalytic converter. The converter itself is valued at less than $1,000.
Falconburg has a previous conviction for theft by deception in Utah from 2015.
