Woman Killed In Car Crash Near Willow Springs

Willow Springs, MO. – A woman was fatally injured in a one-vehicle car crash on June 26, 2024.

The crash occurred at 7:30 a.m. on U.S. 60, five miles west of Willow Springs. 67-year-old Leslie Franklin of Houston was driving east when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment and a tree before it came to a stop. Leslie Frankin received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. 63-year-old Wanda Franklin, an occupant in the vehicle and fellow Houston resident, was fatally injured in the crash. She was pronounced deceased at Ozarks Healthcare an hour after the incident.

The crash was investigated by Trooper J.J Smith and Trooper J.M. Kenyon of Troop G, Willow Springs Fire Department, and Cabool Fire Department.
