WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The West Plains City Council approved several bills at their Monday meeting.
The first bill approved by the council was a bond transferring ownership of the bond for the Air Medical Group Holdings facility to a new LLC after the dissolution of the previous bond owner’s group. The council also approved a contract change concerning professional services for the flood detention basin project.
Other bills approved included ones dealing with plans to qualify for the Missouri Community Development Block Grant program; an amended lease for the Greater Ozarks Center for Advanced Technology (GOCAT) facility off of Howell Ave. and an ordinance allowing for phase two of the project; purchasing a communications system for emergency operations for $13,662.35; and the city health insurance for the year from Anthem Blue Cross-Blue Shield, which included vision and dental, at a cost of just over $1 million, a savings of roughly $130,000 from the prior year.
Two bills, dealing with changes in the city code of ordinances dealing with harassment and keeping right while driving, were pulled from the agenda.
