Court documents filed in the case indicate that the West Plains Police Department was made aware of the accusations against Stroman on Monday, September 16. The two incidents reportedly happened at West Vue Nursing Home on August 30 and September 7 and involved a 68-year-old woman.

The resident reportedly told the detectives the first sexual encounter with Stroman had been consensual, but the second encounter was not. Stroman allegedly gave the woman a pain pill each encounter.

Stroman reportedly agreed to speak with law enforcement and provided a cheek swab for a DNA sample. Police say that after being read his rights, Stroman denied the encounters happened but later admitted the two incidents took place after being informed that clothing evidence had been taken by police.
