WPCA to Discuss Funding Sources for Non-Profits at Oct. 18 Meeting

West Plains, MO. – West Plains Council on the Arts (WPCA) announces programming for the period October 2022 – September 2023. Programs will be in roundtable format for development of our local Arts Alliance members. WPCA will coordinate these monthly resource/development roundtables, primarily directed at Arts Alliance members, but also welcome participation by other nonprofits. The October roundtable will center on funding sources.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 PM Tuesday, October 18, in the CFO conference room, 1376 Bill Virdon Blvd., West Plains (East Town Village).

Presenters include Kathleen Morrissey, President of WPCA. Involved with arts programming for over 40 years, Morrissey will present a program on state and regional funding opportunities for arts and cultural programs.

Also presenting will be Joe Kammerer, Central Region Manager of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, will cover CFO grants and additional funding resources, especially those that may provide assistance to non-profits for facilities management.

As the Associate for Regional Advancement for the Central Region, Joe serves donors, nonprofit partners, and volunteer board leaders for the CFO’s affiliate foundations. Joe has spent more than 20 years in philanthropy and fundraising. Throughout his career, he has been involved in grant and fundraising initiatives, serving causes locally as well as championing regional and national programs.

These sessions will also be offered to any other interested non-profits and will be available via a Google Meets link. Those interested in joining virtually should email info@westplainsarts.org to confirm and obtain the link.

The session will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 18 in the CFO community room in East Towne Village, and is expected to last approximately one hour.

Grant funding for the roundtables is provided by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as part of their Challenge America: Arts Engagement in American Communities programming.
