WPHS group receives Red Cross award

WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The West Plains High School National Honor Society was recently presented an award by the Red Cross.

The award was given to the group for their participation rate in the Community of Giving blood drive.

School officials say West Plains High School has successfully collected 1,128 units of blood over the past five years. Each unit could save up to three lives, according to Red Cross officials.
