West Plains High School sophomore Aubrey Tidwell was recently honored with the opportunity to participate in the 90th Missouri State Sophomore Pilgrimage held in Jefferson City.
Tidwell was selected for this prestigious experience based on her outstanding demonstration of courage, citizenship, scholarship, leadership, and service—qualities the pilgrimage seeks to recognize and celebrate in Missouri’s next generation of leaders.
During her visit to the state capital, Aubrey toured historic government buildings, observed the workings of the Missouri State Legislature, and heard directly from several top state officials, gaining firsthand insight into the inner workings of state government.
The Missouri State Sophomore Pilgrimage, sponsored by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Missouri, offers high-achieving sophomores a unique opportunity to engage with civic leadership and deepen their understanding of state government processes.
