UPDATE: The West Plains Police Department is currently seeking information on the whereabouts of Darren L. Break.
Break is a 45 year old white male approximately 6’00 tall, approximately 200 pounds and green eyes.

Break is a suspect in a felony domestic assault investigation. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Do not approach or attempt to apprehend Break.

The West Plains Police Department is asking for city residents to avoid Lanton Road as they work what is being described as a “situation.” Police Department officials stated the request was for the community’s safety.
The WPPD posted the following on Facebook just before 2 p.m. today (12/31):
****ATTENTION****
There is currently a law enforcement situation on Lanton Road. We are asking all citizens to remain clear from the area at this time for safety.
More information will follow.
Again, we are asking all citizens to remain away from the Lanton Road area while law enforcement is present for safety.
