WPPD releases 4th of July DWI Enforcement data

Over the July 4th Holiday, several officers with the West Plains Police Department participated in a DWI Enforcement Campaign. The following statistics are the results of the enforcement period which began on July 2 and ended on July 5.

In total, the officers who participated in the campaign made 24 traffic stops, gave 25 warnings, and wrote 11 traffic citations. Of the 11 citations, two citations were issued for Driving While Suspended/Revoked.

During the enforcement period, motorists who were stopped by officers were not under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. The West Plains Police Department would like to thank the motoring public for their patience and cooperation during these enforcement efforts.
