WPPD to conduct Holiday DWI Enforcement Campaign

The West Plains Police Department will be conducting a DWI Enforcement Saturation for the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Holiday weekend. The enforcement period will begin on Saturday, December 19, 2020 and will conclude on Saturday, January 2, 2021. During this time period, citizens of West Plains and travelers will see increased enforcement on the roads with zero tolerance for those who drive impaired.

In 2018, 285 people were killed in drunk driving crashes during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays according to the most recent data available from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
