The West Plains Police Department swore in their newest Police Officer, Tessa Jens, on Monday, August 9, 2021.
Officer Jens is a West Plains native will be assigned her Field Training Officer in the next few days to start her new role. Jens was hired as a Police Department Detention Officer in October 2020 and enrolled in Missouri Sheriff’s Academy. Following graduation, Jens was promoted to Police Officer on July 29, 2021.
