Wrap the Year Up with a Gift to the Baxter County Library

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR – The Baxter County Library Foundation invites community members to Wrap the Year Up with a gift that supports literacy, learning, and connection. Between now and midnight on December 31, every donation to the Library Foundation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $28,000, doubling the impact of your contribution.

The Library serves as a cornerstone of the community.  On any given day, Library visitors may be attending craft workshops, listening to a lecture, checking out books and movies, learning digital skills, researching online, knitting sweaters, taking a yoga class, or spending quality time with their family. The Library’s programs, services, and resources improve lives, foster creativity, and create opportunities for everyone.

Private donations make up approximately 30% of the Library’s annual operating budget, bridging the gap between public funding and the cost of keeping programs and services available to the community. Your year-end gift is essential to sustaining this vital resource.

With your support, the Library provides books, audiobooks, eBooks, and access to credible online resources. It offers technology and digital training, builds job skills, and enhances lives with innovative programs like early literacy initiatives for children, career workshops for adults, and engaging events for all ages.

The Library is also addressing challenges like declining academic performance in Arkansas by launching programs such as 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and the Baxter County Early Literacy Project, which equip families with tools to prepare children for success in school.
