Sonny Byerly: This is Sonny Bylerly, Sheriff of Wright County. I just wanted to give an update on our new K9. We implemented a new K9 toward the end of last year. We’ve been up and going for about 6 months on our project, we’ve added the second K9 last month. We have two working dogs in our counties, that will enhance the dogs we have in two of our municipalities to combat some of this drug traffic.
It’s just one more way that we’re giving back to our citizens, and showing them that we really do care about them, and that we want to protect them and their children from drugs moving into our communities. As a reasonable person, we can’t do a total extraction of all of the drugs in our community, but I promise you I will make a drastic improvement on our society and start getting some of these people in our state penitentiaries if they choose to do drugs in our county.
