Wright County Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest After Traffic Stop

Mountain Grove, MO. – On April 27, 2022 at roughly 1:06 a.m. Corporal Campbell with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on Highway 60 West of Mountain Grove. Upon contact, the driver identified himself as Brian Richardson, age 48 of Pottersville, MO.

Corporal Campbell asked for consent to search, and consent to search was granted. Located on the suspect, was a clear baggie with a residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine. In the vehicle Corporal Campbell located suspected marijuana and a glass smoking device that also field tested for methamphetamine.
 
Subject transported to Wright County Jail on a 24 hour hold pending charges for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia-amphetamine.
