The Missouri State High School Athletics Association (MSHSAA) Boys Class I Swimming and Diving Championship Meet was held in St. Peters, Missouri on Saturday, November 14. Five Zizzer swimmers advanced to the meet and represented West Plains in two relays and three individual swims.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Elias Curtis (25.30), Dawson Fiorino (25.49), Isaac Kammerer (24.40), and Jake Bramwell (22.77) finished in 21st place with a time of 1:37.90. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Kammerer (51.83), Curtis (55.23), Ethan Squires (57.65), and Bramwell (52.39) finished in 20th place with a time of 3:37.60.
In individual events, Bramwell finished in 20th place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.90. Kammerer set two new school records in each of his individual events. He finished in 13th place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.16 and in 15th place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:07.78.
While the 2020 high school swim season for the boys may have come to an end, the winter USA Swimming season where they compete for Waves Swim Club begins in December. The Lady Zizzer Swim Team opens their season with the All-Relays meet in Springfield, Missouri on December 3.
