Alice grew up in New Hope and attended school through the 8th grade. She was a country girl at heart who loved the Lord. She was an ordained Pentecostal minister and after her marriage in 1971 to Maurice Wayne Highsmith, she and Maurice became involved in street ministry, serving in Illinois and California. She especially appealed to young women who were drawn to her message of salvation. She will be dearly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her.
