Audra Ellen (Crewse) Shelley, daughter of the late Edward and Hattie (Greenlee) Crewse, was born on November 26, 1922 at Astoria, Missouri, and passed from this life at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Missouri, on April 26, 2023.
Audra grew up in Texas County and was united in marriage to Abraham Lincoln Shelley on November 9, 1938 at Houston, Missouri. Two children were born to this union, and they were married for seventy-one years.
Audra worked for the H.D. Lee Company in Houston, Missouri for many years, and later retired from there. She and Abe also worked on the farm all their lives.
Audra was saved at a young age and attended the Fowler Church for over fifty years.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, a brother-in-law, and by two sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her son, E. Jay Shelley of Cabool, Missouri; her daughter, Donna Kullmer of O’Fallon, Missouri; one grandson, Matt Kullmer of O’Fallon, Missouri; three great-grandsons, all of O’Fallon, Missouri; four brothers, Jimmy Crewse, Graff, Missouri, Ancil Crewse and wife, Marilyn, Floyd Crewse and wife, Lorene, Fines Crewse and wife, Blanche, all of Huggins, Missouri; one sister, Imogene Hamilton, Cabool, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and by a special friend, Bruce. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
