Audrey Marie Richardson stepped into eternity to be with Jesus on March 7, 2024, at 10:11 a.m. at Barnes Hospital in St Louis, Missouri, with many family members at her side.
Marie was born on January 21, 1945, to Leland Vermillion and Elsa Brawley in Winona, Missouri. She had five siblings Goldie, Maggie, Dean, Dennis, and Linda.
She was joined in marriage on December 25, 1976, to the love of her life, Milton Richardson.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Richardson; father, Leland Vermillion; mother, Elsie Vermillion; sisters, Goldie Vermillion and Maggie Farris; brothers, Dennis Vermillion and Dean Vermillion; her niece, Janice; nephew, Audy; and brother-in-law, Bob.
She leaves behind her daughters, Tina Mays of Birch Tree, MO, Starila Neal and husband, Dwane of Winona, MO, and Tine Richardson of Winona, MO; her sons, Curtis Mays and wife, Joni of Winona, MO, and Art Mays and wife, Marlene of Winona, MO; one sibling, Linda Fisher of Winona, MO; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren nieces, nephews, and many more family and friends who will miss her greatly.
Marie loved and was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved to sit, drink coffee, and look out her window from her kitchen table. Marie loved backroading with her Mar-Mar, drinking coffee, and looking at chickens. She loved to cook and was the best at cooking and feeding her children and grandbabies, which was a priority when they visited. She also had a green thumb and could tell you what any plant was and how to grow it. She enjoyed trips to the river and coke and peanuts. Marie had a beautiful voice and could sing with strength and passion. She had a quick wit and a sense of humor like no other. Marie had a fire and spice that few will ever witness in life. She will be missed and never forgotten by those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri, with Pastor Jeff Brake officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery, Winona.
