Barbara Ann Ice, daughter of Paul and Lourisia (Hebert) Prejean was born on February 25,1939 in Egan, Louisiana and passed on January 26, 2023 at Autumn Oaks Nursing Home in Mountain Grove Missouri at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 1 day. Barbara grew up and attended school in Egan, Louisiana. After school she moved to Missouri and was united in marriage to Gary Ice and to this union they had 4 kids, Debra, Floy, Robert and Lloyd.
Barbara worked at Kabul Nursing Home as a CNA before they moved to Louisiana and then they went to Mexico to be in the mission field to serve the Lord. Barbara and Gary then moved back to Mountain Grove where they attended church at Calvary Temple. Barbara attended until her health would no longer allow. She loved working at the Love Center, spending time reading her Bible, listening to music and being with all of her family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; brothers, Edward and Paul Prejean, JR. and her sisters, Norma Lacomb, Lois Kibodeaux, Hazel Blanchard, UlaMae Quibodeaux and Yolanda Fontenot. She is survived by two daughters, Debra Dawson and her husband, Carl of Mountain Grove and Floy Smith and her husband, Stephan of Estherwood, Louisiana; her sons, Lloyd Brown of and wife, Linda of Modesto, California and Robert Brown and wife, Faye of Evangeline, Louisiana; 33 grandchildren,16 great-grandchildren and many other extended family and friends who will miss her.
