Ben Strong, 62, of Gainesville, MO went into the loving arms of Jesus, surrounded by family, on February 4, 2021 in Mtn Home, AR.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Jeff Dotson officiating. Burial will be in the Patrick Cemetery.
Benny N. Strong was born in Gainesville to Rural “Dick” and Velma (Hathcock) Strong on May 27, 1958. He was a lifelong resident of Gainesville and a 1976 graduate of Gainesville High School. From the age of 18, Ben was a truck driver, hauling mostly cattle. He worked for Guy King in Mountain Home, AR for a few years before retiring.
Ben married Rebecca “Becky” (Robbins) on October 14, 1978. Together they raised two amazing children, Courtney Samantha Strong and Chance Jordan Strong.
Ben married Robin (Collins) Studdard on February 18, 2006 at their family home in Gainesville.
He is survived by his wife, Robin, of the home; his children Courtney Strong of Dora, MO Chance Strong and wife Esther of Gainesville, MO, Jamie Jones and husband Tim of Parsons, KS; his mother Velma Strong of Gainesville, MO; two sisters Becky (Strong) Penrod and husband Don of Branson, MO, Betty (Strong) Ortega and husband Randy of Gainesville, MO; seven grandchildren Halsey, Waylon, Addi, Landon, Lexi, Evie and Annalise all whom he loved very much; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Strong; and a brother Bill Strong.
Memorials can be made in memory of Ben to the American Heart Association. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr Camp, Dr Matthews, and the staff at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
