Bennett Irvin Dix, Jr., 77 years, 6 months, and 21 days old, passed away on, May 17, 2022 at his home in Ava, Missouri.
Bennett was born October 26, 1944 in Lamar County, Georgia to Bennett Irvin Dix, Sr. and Myrtice (Conkle) Littlejohn.
Bennett was a Veteran and served in the United States Army.
Bennett enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a caring person and loved to joke and have fun. He especially liked being with his grandchildren. He always enjoyed family get togethers.
Bennett was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jacob Dix; and three sisters, Donna Littlejohn, Patricia Littlejohn, and Linda Merchant.
Bennett is survived by his special friend, Cheryl Emrick; children, Bennett Dix, III and wife, Margaret and Glen Dale Dix and wife, Angie; grandchildren, Jordan Dix(Knucklehead 1), Wyatt Dix(Knucklehead 2) and Milley Dix(Knucklehead 3); sister, Lena Littlejohn; three brothers, William “Pete” Littlejohn, Gary “Dinkey” Littlejohn, and John Robert Littlejohn, and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial graveside service will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Ava Cemetery with full military honors and burial to follow. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Fueller. Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, MO.
