William Henry Haase Jr., son of the late William Sr. and Alice (Stolting) Haase, was born October 12, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri, and departed this life at Hartville Care Center in Hartville, Missouri, at 88 years of age.
Bill grew up and attended school in Davenport, Nebraska, and graduated from Davenport High School with the class of 1954. He decided to serve his country, and he joined the United States Army in 1959. Bill was united in marriage to Mary Anderson, and together they had four sons: Dan, Jim, Jason, and Fred. They moved to the Kansas City area where Bill worked for Hallmark for over 30 years.
Early in life, Bill obtained his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. He always kept a hobby farm and enjoyed raising cattle. Bill spent many years on his farm in Drexel, Missouri. When his health began to fail, he moved to the Hartville, Missouri, area to be near his sons, Jason and Fred.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Haase, one son, Jim Haase, and one granddaughter, Erin Aten.
He is survived by three sons, Dan Haase and his wife, Michelle, of Freeman, Missouri, Jason Haase of Falcon, Missouri, and Fred Haase and his wife, Holly, of Hartville, Missouri, eight grandchildren, Jessica Cain and her husband, Lewis, Jordan Haase, Hannah Heffley and her husband, Matt, Christian Haase, Kade Haase, Daniele Cole and her husband, Corbin, Gracee Haase, and Isabellah Haase, and several great-grandchildren who will miss him.
