Bobbie J. Ross passed away December 22, 2024, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, MO, at the age of 91. He was born April 22, 1933, to Bishop Bradly Ross and Blanche Labelle Raley in Winnsboro, SC.
Bobbie at the age of 4 years old, with his mother, moved to Lancaster, SC. Mr. Ross was active 20 years in the United States Air Force, where he was awarded the Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service September 3, 1967 – July 5, 1968, for his service in Vietnam. During this time, he met and married Anna Arvilla Madden in Salem, AR, at the First Baptist Church, on December 8, 1952. By permission from Margaret Hay Van Damme of Albuquerque, NM, to create the George D. Hay Foundation.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Ross of Thayer, MO, Wanda (Greg) Fielder of Springfield, MO; his granddaughter, Kimberly (Jason) of Springfield, MO; 2 great-grandsons, Hunter & Colton, of Springfield, MO. He was preceded by: his parents, Bishop Bradly Ross and Blanche Labelle Raley; his wife, Ann; his daughter, Rhonda.
Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Dennis Williams officiating, and burial following it the Thayer Cemetery.
