Bear grew up in Summersville and attended Summersville schools.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles and four-wheelers.  He liked to work on vehicles and fix things but his family said he wasn’t always the greatest at it!  Him and his little brother Robin liked to tear things apart to see what it was made of.  Sometimes they got it put back together and sometimes not.  Where you saw Bear you would see Robin.  They were as close as brothers could be.

Preceding him in death were his wife Mamie (Swindle) Labbee; his parents, Bobby and Kim Labbee; grandparents, Pauline Stewart and Eula Brim; uncle, Paul “Bull” Stewart; aunts, Sandy Labbee and Sherry Brim and a cousin, Debbie Summers.

Bear is survived by five children, Mattie Jean and Peyton Eli of the home, Jacob Labbee, Destiny Cathcart and Matthew Labbee; grandparents Amos and Debbie; brother Robin Dale and wife Jen Labbee; aunt/sister, Paula Conway and husband Dale; uncle/brother, Jimmy Stewart and wife Rae; uncle, Larry Labbee; aunt, Rhonda Shoults and husband David, aunt Cathy (Stewart) Barnett as well as a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as a few family members that were as close as brothers and sisters, Keith Summers, Billy Mitchell, Steve Cobble, Ryna Summers, Chris Summers and Cody Stewart.

In lieu if flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Bear’s memory to Bradford Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
