Bobby J. Dailey, 81, of Lake Mary, Florida, left this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. He was born March 9, 1941, to Raymond and Alyne Dailey in Shannon County, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Mildred (Lynn) Scoville on July 29, 1960, and to this union, three children were born, Dean, Joni, and Andy.
Bobby believed in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and supported his family members that belonged to it. He loved creating businesses, especially ones in which his family members would be involved. Bobby worked as a general contractor in the multi-family industry for many years. His wife, sons, nephews, and grandsons worked side by side with him in this journey, as well as running a cow-calf operation on his farm in Shannon County. He was also a merchant at heart! Bobby loved having stores and restaurants to provide good food and quality products to the local people. On the rare occasion that he wasn’t working, he enjoyed all things western, whether it be movies, books, boots, and hats; and visiting with his kids and grandkids. Bobby was a man with a vision and always knew the route to take to make it a reality. He employed a lot of people throughout his lifetime and helped them to learn new trades and achieve their own goals. He will be sorely missed by those that loved him.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alyne.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lynn Scoville of Banner in Shannon County, MO; two sons, Dean Dailey and wife, Sarah of Birch Tree, MO, and Andy Dailey and wife, Sandy of Sanford, FL; one daughter, Joni Mays and husband, Curtis of Winona, MO; one brother, Jerry Dailey of Winona, MO; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and well-loved friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 7-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, also at the funeral home. Interment will be on Oak Grove Cemetery, Birch Tree, Missouri.
