Bonnie Jean Davis

Bonnie Jean Davis, 88 years, 2 months, 23 days old, passed peacefully on September 1, 2024, at Shepherd of the Hills Living Center, Branson, Missouri, with her family by her side.

Bonnie was born June 9, 1936, in West Plains, Missouri, to Walter and Mary Frances (Redfern) Rickett.

 

She grew up in various towns in Illinois and Missouri. She graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. Bonnie was a self employed crafter. She made ceramics, quilted, made flower arrangements, and other crafted items for many years before retiring from the trade. 

 

 

On January 27, 1961, Bonnie and Delmar Carroll Davis were united in marriage at Miami, Oklahoma.

 

She was a member of Healing Rivers Church in Branson, Missouri. Bonnie enjoyed attending church and had a very close relationship with God. She enjoyed the little things in life. She loved crafting, gardening, and listening to various types of country and religious music. The musician that held a special place in her heart was Elvis Presley, of whom she was a big fan. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; Delmar Davis in 2002; infant daughter, Joanna Lynn; her sister, Joan Ege;

 

Bonnie is survived by her four children, Russell Davis and wife Missy of Blue Eye, Michael Davis of Branson, Jeffrey Davis of Reeds Spring, and Melody Maldonado and husband Antioco of Nixa. Bonnie was blessed with and is survived by nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; Eunice Powell of Peoria, Illinois; other extended family and friends.

 

Graveside services for Bonnie will be held, Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the Goodhope Cemetery, Ava, Missouri with Pastor Oren Alcorn officiating. A celebration of life will follow at an undecided time and date.
