Bonnie Lee Haney

Bonnie Lee (Adkison) Haney, born to Lulu (Evans) and Dorsey Adkison in the rural community of Licking, Missouri on July 17, 1931, passed away on May 23, 2024. Bonnie attended school and graduated from Licking High School “class of 1949.”

On March 18, 1951, Bonnie married and lovingly accepted Arthur Bennett Haney into her life for the next 62 years. Ben passed away in August of 2013. Although they had no children together Bonnie loved, and was adored by many nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors, parishioners, and just about everyone who met and got to know her. Affectionately, she was recognized around town as “the high heeled, blond bombshell of Houston” even well into her senior years she remained as described and (privately) enjoyed the notoriety.
