Brad Allen Baker

Brad Allen Baker was born on May 12, 1969 in St. Charles, MO the son of Allen and Judi (Wood) Baker.  He departed this life on March 10, 2023 at his home in Douglas County surrounded by his family at the age of 53 years, 9 months and 26 days.

Brad lived in St. Charles the first few years of his life; when he was 5 years old the family moved back to Cabool.  At the age of 8, Brad accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in a local river.  He attended Cabool Schools where he enjoyed playing football as #34 with the Cabool Bulldogs.  Brad graduated with the Class of 1987; he then attended and graduated from a VoTech School in Houston, TX.

Brad had various jobs through the years; working at Cabool Transport in high school then later at O’Reilly Auto Parts, L & R Industries, DFA in Springfield and he also had his own semi and trucked for a while.  For the last 20+ years, Brad worked for WDT; he loved his job and made many friends.  Those friends became like family to him, he loved them and they loved him.

Brad loved the outdoors, especially spring turkey hunting, quail hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed the companionship of his bird dogs.  He was a NASCAR race fan and in his younger days he enjoyed drag racing his motorcycle.

Brad was preceded in death by his father, Allen R. Baker and his grandparents, Elmer and Frances Baker and Richard and Verla Wood all of Cabool, MO.  He is survived by his beautiful wife, Jacqueline of 19 years; his mother, Judi and step father, David Rogers; sons, Trevor (Holly) of Cabool and Derek (Jessica) of West Plains; daughters, Telika (Collin) of St. Louis and Rachael (Aaron) of Cabool; 9 grandchildren, Lennox, Charlie, Adeline, Evan, Aiden, Avery, Aaron, Zoe and Lilly; as well as numerous family and friends.  Brad will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
