Brenda Lee Harrison, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, while at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born December 13, 1960, to Daniel Lee Barlow and Lorene (Johnson) Hicks in Cabool, MO. She was 61 years old.
Brenda grew up and attended school in Willow Springs. She accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized by Pastor Brad Strosnider while she was a patient in Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mtn. View on November 2, 2021. She married Russell Glenn Harrison on December 1, 2001, in Willow Springs. Brenda loved to do various crafts, especially crocheting. She truly enjoyed going to yard sales and thrift stores with her sister, Carol Weaver. She was a wonderful baker, and it has been said that she could make any kind of dessert, and hers were the best! However, her favorite times were those spent with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Hicks; her stepfather, Herman Hicks; her grandmother, Nancy Johnson; her uncles, Cleo Johnson and Lonzo Johnson; and her aunts, Pauline Scarbrough and Eveline Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Russell; her sister, Carol Weaver (Delford) of Willow Springs; her niece, Laurie Strosnider (Roger) of Mtn. View; her great niece, Baliey Strosnider, also of Mtn. View; her stepsister, Debra Nye (Jake); her stepbrother, Tom Hicks (Pauline); nephews, Dayton Manchester and Jonathan Manchester and numerous cousins.
A family night/visitation for Brenda will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at Willow Funeral Home, LLC. A graveside service will follow on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Holmes Flatrock Cemetery in Douglas County with Pastor Brad Strosnider officiating.
