Buzz Lynn Dickson was born in Springfield, Missouri, on April 9, 1986, to Sheila Martin and Terry Dickson. He left this world on September 13, 2021.
Buzz graduated from Winona High School in 2004 and had jobs in the lumber industry and welding. He was a welder by trade and worked hard at passing his knowledge on to his son Forestt.
He was always complimented on his barbecuing skills and always coming up with something new. Making his famous “Dickson balls” candy at Christmas time with his family was a favorite tradition.
As a child, he collected classic die-cast cars and model cars. His love for things of the past carried on into adulthood, with records and unique vintage items, such as bicycles and tools.
Buzz was one of a kind, and we can truly say “they broke the mold” with him. He didn’t care for attention or crowds but was a friend to many and would quietly help anyone in need.
Most of all, we will remember him as being a proud dad. His kids were his best friends and greatest accomplishments. We hope they will hear many stories as they grow up of the loving, clever, and generous man that he was.
Buzz lived in Birch Tree, Missouri with his wife, Kerah, and three children, Izzie, Scarlett, and Forestt. He is also survived by his mother, Sheila Martin of Winona, MO; sister, Lacey Dickson (Kendra Konrady) of Kansas City, MO; brother, Jeremiah Dickson of Mountain View, MO; grandmother, Patsy Martin of Winona, MO; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to count.
Buzz was preceded in death by his father, Terry Dickson; grandfathers, Hayden Dixon and Richard Martin; and grandmother, Lovena “Nene” Dixon.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 25, 2021, at Horner Church and Cemetery in Winona, Missouri. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
