Carl Strong, 95, of Republic, MO passed away December 1, 2021 in Mtn Home, AR. He was born July 13, 1926 in rural Ozark County, MO, the oldest of ten children born to Lisses Matthew and Dora Ethel (Pitcock) Strong.
Carl grew up in Ozark County before settling in the Kansas City area. He lived there nearly 50 years before moving to Republic, MO in 1999. He spent most of his life as a truck driver. If you ever wanted to visit with Carl, you better be ready to talk trucking. He was a member of the Brookline Church of Christ. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by three sisters Louella Dutton and husband Jim of Mtn Home, AR, Marcella Crawford of Mtn Home, AR, and Mary Lutz of Holden, MO; two sisters-in-law Lyndell Strong and Velma Strong both of Gainesville, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers Utah, Mearl, Jimmy, Ralph and Dick Strong; and one infant sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Visitation will be Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Sallee Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sallee Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
