Carol Ann Wimberley, age 71, passed away on January 27, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. She was born on September 24, 1951, to Bud B. and Lovina Pearl (Miller) Babcock in Hempstead, Texas.
She was united in marriage to F. T. Wimberley on November 30, 1973, in Brady, Texas. To this union, two sons were born, Shane and Matt.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Lovina Babcock; two brothers, Bud and John Babcock; one sister, Eula Mae Miller; and one grandson, Tristan Wimberley.
She is survived by her husband, F. T. Wimberley of Mountain View, MO; two sons, Shane Wimberley and wife, Amy of Springfield, MO, and Matt Wimberley and wife, Crystal of West Plains, MO; one sister, Joyce Korn of Hilltop Lakes, TX; one brother, Marvin Babcock of Hilltop Lakes, TX; and two grandchildren, Mia Lane Wimberley and Chase Matthew Wimberley.
Carol was a member of Fundamental Bible Baptist Church in Summersville, Missouri, for 25 years. She loved to sing in church and always had faith in the Lord and for her church. Carol was a workaholic and sweet lady who loved her family and always put others first.
Anyone who was fortunate to know Carol knew her as a strong woman who was totally devoted to her family. They were always first in her mind and heart. To be Carol’s friend was a treasure. She was so thoughtful of others, had a strong faith, spoke the truth, and endured years of pain with minimal complaint. The life she lived was a true example to her family and friends of the great lady she was. Carol will be missed by so, so many.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Mountain View.
