Carol Jane McMullin, 73 years, and 14 days old, passed away on August 26, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri with her family by her side.
Janie was born August 12, 1951, in Springfield, Missouri, to Damon Earl and Maxine (Davis) Guthery.
Janie grew up in Ava, Missouri and graduated from Ava High School.
She worked at Fasco in Ozark, Missouri for several years in the production line. She later worked as a Nurses Assistant in nursing homes and also worked in home health.
Janie was a Christian and was raised in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed planting trees, flowers, cooking, baking, especially her Christmas candy. It was important to Janie to take care of family. She was proud and independent. Her joy was her sons, her grandchildren, and family!
Janie was preceded in death by her father, Damon Earl; her two brothers, Denzil and David Guthery.
Janie is survived by her sons, L.D. McMullin and William Christopher Sewell; her mother, Maxine Guthery Rosseau; her grandchildren, Alex, Matthew, Katie, and Charlotte; her sister, Anna Guthery; many nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.
Memorial services for Janie will be Friday, October 4, 2024, at 2:00 P.M, in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri, with Pastor Oren Alcorn officiating. Her wishes were to be cremated.
