Carol Pool

Emma Carol Pool, daughter of William Monroe and Mary Alice (McNeil) Pool, was born July 2, 1948, in Oakland, Arkansas, and departed this life December 3, 2023, at her home in Fair Grove, Missouri. She was 75 years, 5 months, and 1 day of age.

Carol graduated with the Seymour High School class of 1966. She then went to college and received her Bachelor Degree and began a teaching career. She was the Art teacher at Willard Junior High School from 1971 to retirement in 1998.

Carol was united in marriage to Rodney Pool on April 1, 1969. Two sons, Shawn and Tyler, were born to this union. Carol was a beloved and wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She had a love for all the art and beauty the world had to offer. Carol enjoyed traveling and hunting for the perfect jewelry souvenir. She took great care in creating art in the many home projects she and Rod took on together. Carol loved being a grandma to her many grandchildren. She was full of laughter and joy and had a heart after her Lord and Savior. She had a firm faith and was a prayer warrior.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Monroe Pool; and an infant sister, Lavonne Pool.

Carol is survived by her husband of 54 years, Rod Pool of the home; two sons, Shawn Pool and wife, Jessica, and Tyler Pool and wife, Allison, all of Springfield, Missouri; her mother, Mary Alice Pool of Seymour, Missouri; two brothers, Milton Pool and wife, Rhonda, of League City, Texas, and Mick Pool and wife, Sheila, of Seymour, Missouri; and seven grandchildren, Landon, Brody, Ralay, Abel, Turk, Huck, and Roderick. Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 1:00PM – 2:00PM with funeral service to  follow at 2:00 p.m.
