Carolyn May (Lee) Chowning, 76, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at her home in Cabool, Missouri. She was born on August 7, 1946, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Verl and Ollie (Daugherty) Lee. She was united in marriage to Glen Chowning on December 30, 1971, and lived in Cabool, Missouri, for almost 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Verl and Ollie Lee; brothers, Joe Kenneth Daugherty and Jackie David Lee; sister, Verla Kay (Lee) Pulliam; and niece, Velinda (Pulliam) Wilkins.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Chowning; sisters, Wilma Lawson (Richard) of Fair Play, MO, Evelyn Freed of Cabool, MO, Debbie Crider (David) of Gepp, AR, and Wanda Freeman (Paul) of Cabool, MO; sister-in-law, Kaye Lee of West Plains, MO; brother, Jeryl Lee (Vicki) of Casper, WY; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Carolyn loved to go to yard sales, hunting, drive through the countryside, and fishing with the love of her life. She worked and retired from Cabool Schools as a cook.
