Carolyn Sue Anseaume was born February 17, 1938, to Austin and Clessie (House) Sanders in the Jobe community of Oregon County, Missouri. She entered her heavenly home on March 4, 2023, after a short illness, at the age of 85 years and 15 days.
Carolyn graduated with the class of 1956. After graduation she went to work at the Oregon County courthouse. On September 3, 1961, she married the love of her life, James Anseaueme. They made their home in St. Charles, Missouri. They were blessed with one son, James Michael Anseaume. Jim preceded her in death in 1997.
Carolyn went to work for Monsato in 1962, she retired after 29 years in 1991. During retirement Carolyn learned a new talent, quilting. She pieced and hand quilted many beautiful quilts. She took pride in keeping a beautiful yard with many flowers when her health would allow. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and could talk baseball with the best. Andy Griffith was her hero. Carolyn accepted Christ as her personal savior at a young age and was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant brother Donald Keith, sister Donna Strain, brother Harold Sanders; in- laws, Frank and Gertrude Anseaume; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her son, James Michael of Moscow Mills, Missouri; brother Charles (Carol) Sanders of Foley, Alabama; sister-in-law Connie Sanders of Ballwin, Missouri; nieces; Kim (David) Virtue, Carey (Jeff) Steusse, Deanna (Danny) Shannon, nephews; Bret (Chuck) Sanders, Keith (Gina) Sanders; along with many other family members and friends.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Smyrna Cemetery of Alton, Missouri with services under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
