Catherine Lynn Baldwin, daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Yager) Wade, was born October 13, 1951, in Springfield, Missouri. She was taken tragically by flood waters along with her husband, Charles Baldwin, on November 5, 2024, near Manes, Missouri, at the age of 73.
Cathie grew up in the Manes community where she attended school through the 8th grade and graduated with the Mountain Grove High School class of 1969. She was united in marriage to Charles Richard Baldwin on July 3, 1970. Two children, Eric and Michelle, were born to this union.
Cathie and Chuck enjoyed many years together traveling across the United States while transporting over the road in their big rig. Many great memories were made with their grandchildren as they would go on some of those hauls with them. No one knows who enjoyed it more, the kids or Cathie and Chuck.
Cathie had a sweet spirit. She was kind and caring, always offering to help others in need. She loved big and smiled often. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, music, and tending to her flowers and plants. Cathie’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Cathie was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Kevin Wade; and one brother-in-law, Greg Boggs.
Cathie is survived by her children, Eric Baldwin of Collierville, Tennessee, and Michelle Bostian and husband, Bill, of Rockwell, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Coty and Ashley Bostian and Alexander and Samuel Baldwin; one brother, Bill; one sister, Connie; five sisters-in-law, Terry, Anita, Patty, Jeannette, and Nancy; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
