Charles Dieman, fisherman extraordinaire, joined beloved friends and family at the rivers of life Monday morning, May 8, 2023.
He was born July 26, 1947, to Flo Elliott Dieman and Frederick Dieman of Covington, Kentucky. He was a busy but hardworking kid that grew into a man with a great work ethic.
He joined the United States Military at age 17. He served in Vietnam, Korea, Germany, as well as stateside. He was the proud brother of Fred, Nancy, and John.
In 1972, he met the love of his life and married Deborah Therkelsen on June 10, 1972. They were totally devoted to each other for 51 years.
Charles dearly loved his sons, Chase (and wife, Christy) and Chris; three grandchildren, Abigail, Owen, and Kaytlyn; and their great grandson, Bentley. He considered each a blessing.
He was a man with an amazing testimony in his life battle against acromegaly, several other tumors, a total of 10 stents, several surgeries, a terrible stroke in 2017, losing his son Christopher, and then another devastating stroke in April 2023. His life was symbolized by faith and courage.
Charles loved fishing and his beautiful Pasofino horse. He loved his farm and his cattle. He loved the life God has gifted to him. He loved his family, and he loved his Lord, Jesus Christ.
A memorial service with military honors will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Porter Chapel of Competition at Falcon, MO.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fostering by Faith.
