Charles William Byse, the son of Frank and Helen (Mash) Byse was born on April 27, 1948 at Summersville, Missouri. He passed from this earthly life, at his home in Summersville, with family by his side, Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the age of 73.
Charles grew up in the Bethel area, attending school in Summersville before going to St. Louis to work at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft for several years. He was called to serve in the US Army October 1968. Charles served in Vietnam from May 1969 to June 1970. When he returned home, he went to work at Pinecrest Pallet Mill for eighteen years until it closed. That made it possible for him to work on his cattle farm where he was happiest.
Charles was united in marriage to Sandra Keeling on December 22, 2001, they had twenty wonderful years together. They spent many hours working on the farm and doing chores together. Once haying season was done on the farm, they often traveled the United States. They enjoyed going to new places and seeing the sights. Charlie was amazed at the awesomeness of God’s creation everywhere they went.
Charles accepted Christ as his savior and was a member of Summersville Church of Christ. He always wanted to do his part in the church service. His faithful service was an example to all who knew him, as long as his health permitted. Charlie was always ready with a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He was a kind and gentle Christian man.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Frank and Helen Byse; sister, Beverly Wilson; aunt, Stella Mash; mother-in-law, Louise Keeling and nephews, Kenny and Robert Wilson.
