Charles Wilson Spencer

Charles Wilson Spencer was born June 17, 1936, in Texas County, Missouri, to Wilson Woodrow Spencer and Mildred Lillian Beasley. He departed this life Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Charles married Lois Margaret Haines in the fall of 1955 in Piqua, Ohio and they raised seven children.

In his professional life, Charles worked as a plumber for the local 8 Plumbers & Gasfitters in Kansas City until his retirement.

In 1995 he married Peggy Jean and moved to Deepwater, Missouri soon after and lived there until July 2021.

He loved camping, fishing, and hunting. He was a big fan of Nascar, Kansas City Chiefs football, and the Oklahoma Sooners. He enjoyed playing the guitar, working puzzles, playing computer games, and Chinese Checkers. He enjoyed joking and cutting up with people, mostly the staff at the local restaurants.

He loved all his relatives and would always do his best to go to every funeral that was possible. Most of all he loved his grandkids who always put a big smile on his face!

Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois; his second wife, Peggy; children, Charles Robert Spencer, Terrence Wilson Spencer, Diana Lynn Burk, and Christopher Leo Spencer; and his brothers, Earl Spencer and Orville Spencer.

Survivors include brothers, Carl Spencer, and Vaughn Spencer (Gwen); sister, Vera Greer (Donnie); children, Timothy Wayne Spencer, Sandra Kay Frazier (Matt), and Cheryl Ann Spencer; grandchildren, Wes Dotson, Mike Keafer (Heather), Timothy J. Spencer, Sara Kate, Hayley Meyer (Cory), Brady Frazier (Wendy), Randi Frazier (Blake), Ashley Barton, Tabitha Rodgers, T. J. Burk, Gary Burk, Joe Burk, and Amber Rene; step-children, Adam Hurshman, and Jennifer Stauch; and 28 great-grandchildren.
