Clifford Burton Montgomery

Funeral services for Clifford Burton Montgomery, 74, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 12 o’clock noon, Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Wheeler officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.

He was born the son of the late Claude Montgomery and Vida Jane Redburn Montgomery, on February 8, 1947 in West Plains, Missouri and died May 19, 2021 in West Plains, Missouri.

He was united in marriage November 6, 1965 in Koshkonong, Missouri to Mary Evelyn Hill, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by three children, Todd Montgomery and wife Joanna, Rogersville, Missouri, Trent Montgomery, West Plains, Missouri, and Kerry Evans and husband Nathan, Ozark, Missouri; two brothers, Paul Montgomery and wife Thelma, West Plains and David Montgomery and wife Brenda, Willow Springs, Missouri; five grandchildren, Tyler Chastian, Shanna Davis, Spencer Williams, Skylar Williams, and Holly Montgomery; five great grandchildren, Niklaus, Adeleigh, Karson, Karmin, and Denver; special friends, Bob, Donna, Joan, and Gena.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, Patty Woolman and Betty Tharp.

Cliff loved sitting on the porch watching birds, watching his grandchildren play, and watching westerns. He did one tour with the United States Army. He worked his own business of A-OK Remodeling until he retired in 2011. He attended the Assembly of God Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Friday, May 21, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

Burial will be in Homeland Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
